Moving along

It's been a couple of weeks and a lot has happened.

Insulation is up: One of the things they did was insulate the open area under the new addition.  Hopefully this will help keep things warm back there.

first up the laundry room:

Mud room (just going to call it that, ) {the pink on the wall on the right is the old insulation that was already up.

January 7th 2015 - siding is up

The siding is done.  Took a couple of days.  The new addition will be painted when we have some warm/dry weather.  (and yes the siding is different than the rest of the house.  They no longer make the other stuff, We could have sided the whole house what it was going to cost to have an exact match on the house.  Hopefully once painted it will look ok.

The house has been papered:

First day, siding part way done.

Day 2:

The back of the house is done.  You can also see the post that are set up for the back porch.

Below are the left and right side of the house

Back of the house again, this time showing the frame around the window & door.

More supplies arrived today: Insulation & Drywall:

Last photo should have gone up with the one from the other day.  The laurel bushes were cut back to get ready for the new driveway.  Here is a picture of were the drive way is going in.

I know blurry.  - sorry

I will take some more pictures when the drywall is up.

Catching up...continued

Last post for today...  I promise.

12/22/14
We have a roof:

We have electric:

Now I just need to run out and buy the lights for both rooms and the outside lights.

12/30/14
Pluming: They have the hook up covered in plastic, all of the pictures I took of it had a glare.  Sorry. The wash sink will be on the left, then the washer, and then the dryer.

1/05/15
Windows and door are now in:
Laundry room window (this is also a egress window for the room)

The mud/storage (whatever you want the room to be) windows

New back door.  At least we can now lock up the house.

Siding is going up today.

Now that I am caught up I will try to do a better job.

Day What? - Foundation Pour

I don't even know what day I am on anymore...So the post titles will change to what what on that day.

Here are the pictures from from 11/18/2014:

Form ready and waiting:

Trucks getting set up.  There was the cement truck and then the pumper:

If you look really close you can see the cement coming down the chute:

The Next picture show the footing being poured:

After pouring the footing they let it sit for about 5 min or so and then started on pouring the foundation.  Here are the pictures from that:

Next one of the workers went through with a trowel and smoothed out the cement (after going through and making sure there were no air bubbles)

Put to bed for the night:
